Start with your Proxmox 7 to 8 upgrade

1. Check your system with pve7to8

The tool pve7to8 can be used to check if there are any dependencies or problems on the system. please work through all occurrences cleanly first.

pve7to8 --full

2. Change the apt entries from bullseye to bookworm

sed -i 's/bullseye/bookworm/g' /etc/apt/sources.list

3. Update the apt package sources

apt update

4. update the entire system including proxmox

apt upgrade

If questions should come up during the upgrade, you should simply confirm them with the default value by pressing [ENTER].

5. Reboot your System - You are up to date.
