Was ist ein DNS Stamp (sdns://)?

Ein DNS Stamp ist ein kompakter, standardisierter Verbindungs-String zur Beschreibung eines verschlüsselten DNS-Servers. Er beginnt immer mit dem Präfix sdns:// und wird von modernen DNS-Resolvern, Apps und Betriebssystemen verwendet.

Ein DNS Stamp enthält alle technischen Informationen, die ein Client benötigt, um eine sichere DNS-Verbindung aufzubauen – ohne manuelle Einzelkonfiguration.

Welche Informationen enthält ein DNS Stamp?

Ein DNS Stamp kann unter anderem folgende Parameter enthalten:

DNS-Protokoll (z. B. DNS over HTTPS (DoH), DNS over TLS (DoT), DNS over QUIC (DoQ))
IP-Adresse des DNS-Servers (optional)
Hostname und Port (optional)
HTTPS-Pfad bei DNS over HTTPS
Zertifikats-Fingerprints (SHA-256) zur Server-Authentifizierung (optional)
Eigenschaften wie DNSSEC, No-Logs, No-Filter

Alle Informationen werden binär kodiert und anschließend Base64URL-encodiert. Dadurch ist ein DNS Stamp sehr kompakt, eindeutig und maschinenlesbar.
