Managed Cloud Router: your own router in the cloud
The Managed Cloud Router is a dedicated Cloud Router just for your infrastructure: you don't share CPU and network performance with other customers. It can do everything the normal Cloud Router as a Service can and comes with its own IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
Features
In terms of features, the Managed Cloud Router does not differ from the Cloud Router as a Service. The difference: it doesn't run on a shared server – you get a router of your own.
- Dedicated performance: CPU and network connection are yours alone.
- Own IPv4 and IPv6 addresses including PTR records.
- Traffic included, without a monthly limit.
- All features included, all services without limits.
- Same management: you still set up the router yourself on the IPv64.net website – gateways, peers, routing, firewall and port mapping just like with the normal Cloud Router.
- You can use several Managed Cloud Routers and public Cloud Routers at the same time.

Difference to Cloud Router as a Service
| Cloud Router as a Service | Managed Cloud Router | |
|---|---|---|
| Server | shared with other customers | yours alone |
| Cost | included in the account class (from €0) | €49 or €149 per month |
| Limits | per account class (number, bandwidth, traffic) | all services without limits |
| Public addresses | server IPv4/IPv6 shared; own IPv6 free, own IPv4 for €6.99 / month | own IPv4 and IPv6 including PTR records |
| Management | on the website | on the website, just like the normal Cloud Router |
| Setup | create it yourself right away | on request, provisioned by IPv64.net |
Business and Company accounts can also use the shared hardware gateways from the server list (VPN Gateway Server). They are more powerful but are also shared with other customers. A Managed Cloud Router, on the other hand, belongs to you alone.
Request and process
- Request an offer
Send an e-mail to info@ipv64.net – subject “Request Managed Cloud Router” or “Request Hardware Cloud Router” – and describe exactly what you need. The buttons on ipv64.net/managed-cloud-router open this e-mail pre-filled. - Provisioning
IPv64.net sets up the router: the Cloud Router in 1–2 working days, the Hardware Cloud Router in about 5 working days. A server assigned to your account appears under Choose a favorite Server; routers and gateways on it don't count against the limits of your account class. - Set it up as usual
Then you manage the router as described under Cloud Router: gateways, peers, port mapping, routing and firewall.
Contract term and cancellation
- Contract term: 1 month.
- Notice period: 1 week to the end of the month.
- Billed monthly, for both variants.
